Prenatal Sound Therapy & Hypnobirthing
Women have grown up with the stigma that giving birth is the most painful experience a woman can have while actually giving birth should not be painful!
It is scientifically proven (read Dr Dick-read, Natural Childbirth, 1933) that when a woman is feeling calm and serene while giving birth, her body releases endorphines which are five times more efficient than morphine.
When feeling calm, the woman’s muscles are relaxing and remaining supple, allowing the cervix to thin and open naturally, and, through rhythmic pulsations, the body expels the baby easily and with no pain.
Hypnobirthing enables you via deep relaxation, visualisations and breathing techniques, to alleviate the fears, anxiety and apprehensions around giving birth. It prepares you for the most natural and painless birth possible.
Combined with the soothing frequencies and soft harmonies of the Tibetan bowls, it aimes for you to feel deeply relaxed, lighter and to connect with your baby on a deeper level.
I recommend to book 3 to 4 sessions in order to go deeper in the hypnobirthing work you will do.
Sound Therapy Sessions
Tibetan (or singing) bowls are powerful and have been first used by the Bon-po tribe (indigenous pre-Buddhist tribe in Tibet) during rituals and ceremonies aimed at harmonising with the natural world and its spirits. They used the Tibetan bowls both as aids to meditation and inward contemplation.
Whether in groups or individual, the Sound Therapy sessions I offer are based on reaching a deep state of relaxation thanks to the soothing harmonies and vibrations of the Tibetan bowls.
During those sessions, the body, mainly made of water, receives and transmits the bowls’ vibrations which then massage all the organs right to the heart of each cell. Physical and mental tensions are then reduced.
If you are a couple expecting a baby, I offer sound therapy sessions as a welcoming ceremony for the new member of the family. Contact me for further details.
Restrictions for those sessions only apply to people with a pace-maker.
Hypnosis
Hypnotherapy helps alleviating any anxiety, fears, phobias, physical pain, depression, addictions, eating disorders, postpartum or childbirth fears (hypnobirthing) you may have.
I use gentle induction techniques to softly guide you towards a hypnotic state where we work then with your unconscious part of your brain.
A side note on hypnotherapy as it is often associated with preconceived ideas. Hypnosis helps individuals to overcome emotional, psychological or behavioural blockages. It works by accessing your unconscious, that part of the mind where beliefs, fears, memories and automatisms are buried.
By using induction and suggestion techniques, I guide you towards awareness and profound change. Hypnotherapy is not harmful nor a dangerous mental manipulation, it is based on collaboration between you (the patient) and I (the practitioner).
